Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking a Director, AI Business Solutions for International Wealth Management to guide AI strategy across the Canadian Wealth Management portfolio, delivering pilots to production while ensuring governance and risk controls.

The role collaborates with distribution, finance, operations, product, tech and data to align AI priorities, manage demand and drive ROI, with an emphasis on scalable, responsible AI and a strong leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in financial services and Wealth Management
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies
• Excellent technical project management skills with multi-project oversight
• Familiarity with AI techniques, frameworks and cloud/data platforms (Azure/OpenAI, GCP Gemini) and how to leverage them for AI initiatives
• Strong executive communication and leadership to develop and manage teams
• Ability to adopt agile approaches to talent development and AI capabilities

Responsibilities

• Align AI priorities across business areas
• Define AI strategy, vision and goals in line with business priorities
• Manage AI development, demand portfolio and pipeline
• Define OKRs for AI initiatives and report progress to leadership
• Build and lead a multi-disciplinary AI team to scale AI initiatives
• Ensure governance, risk and compliance aligned with Enterprise AI Governance framework
• Drive ROI and distribution efficiency through AI initiatives
• Develop and maintain AI use cases and partnerships
