Job summary

An Indigenous organization is seeking a Director of Tmicw to lead and implement natural resource initiatives. This role involves overseeing forestry, fisheries, and environmental planning while integrating traditional ecological knowledge. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of senior-level experience and a degree in a related field. Responsibilities include project funding, managing staff, and supporting community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior-level experience in Indigenous project or environmental management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous land rights, referrals, consultation, and legal principles.
• Experience working with federal and provincial funding bodies.

Responsibilities

• Direct all natural resource programs and initiatives; provide strategic recommendations.
• Manage fisheries projects and habitat restoration efforts.
• Identify funding opportunities and prepare proposals.
