Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of senior leadership, executive advisory, governance, public sector, Indigenous relations, major project, or multi-party experience.
  • Experience working with Indigenous governance structures, Indigenous communities, or Indigenous-led initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing notes and reports.
  • Ability to work independently as a contractor while aligning with Committee direction.
  • Preference may be given to Indigenous candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of Committee-approved priorities connected to Indigenous oversight and monitoring of a major national infrastructure project.
  • Prepare high-quality briefing notes, implementation updates, options, recommendations, and decision materials for the Co-Chairs and Committee.
  • Coordinate meetings with senior Indigenous, federal, provincial, regulatory, and public agency representatives.
  • Monitor timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, budget alignment, and decisions required.
  • Verify expenditures and contractor deliverables align with approved workplans and funding requirements.
  • Support procurement and contracting processes and ensure proper governance across partners.
  • Prepare concise reporting and follow-up materials for senior governance audiences.
