Job summary

Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw is seeking an Executive Director, Territorial Resource Stewardship, to provide executive leadership for the Nation's territorial resources. Reporting to the CAO, you will advance stewardship of lands, waters, and cultural resources aligned with Secwépemc laws and sustainable development.

Grounded in Secwépemc values and governance, the role collaborates with Chief and Council, regulatory agencies, and partners to safeguard Title and Rights while promoting responsible

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience.
  • Masters preferred; bachelor's degree with directly related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Territorial Resource Stewardship Pillar in alignment with Chief and Council priorities and organizational strategy.
  • Develop long-term stewardship strategies protecting environmental, cultural, and community interests while supporting sustainable economic opportunities.
  • Translate priorities into measurable objectives and departmental performance indicators.
  • Provide strategic advice to Chief and Council, CAO, and senior leadership on legislation, governance, resource management, and policy initiatives.

Education

Masters preferred, bachelor's with Signiant directly related experience will be considered
