Position Overview
Experience
  • 5 years of progressively senior management and leadership experience, preferably in the public sector.
  • 5 years of experience in human resource management, including recruitment, retention and training. Experience in Indigenous HR management, recruitment and retention required.
  • Experience in Indigenous Workforce Development with a focus on program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with community based traditional Indigenous cultural programs or initiatives with previous experience in managing diversity.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, enabling health system leaders and teams with applying an Indigenous lens to health operations and exploring ways to provide culturally safe care and to offer traditional Indigenous healing practices as part of health services delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying key performance indicators and conducting comprehensive benefits analysis with respect to Indigenous health.
  • Experience in project management and coaching.
  • Community development expertise including public engagement & consultation experience.
  • Experience building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Indigenous governments, organizations and agencies.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • A degree or post-secondary education in human resources, business administration, or another relevant field required.
  • A relevant combination of education, experience and competencies will be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Valid driver's license.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
