Job summary

Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) is looking for a Director, Communications and Engagement – Redevelopment Projects to provide strategic direction for all communications and stakeholder engagement related to BCHS redevelopment initiatives. The role requires coordinating with government partners, Indigenous communities, and internal teams to advance project objectives while upholding BCHS priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible communications and engagement leadership experience in capital redevelopment projects, preferably in healthcare.
• Master’s degree or post-graduate certificate is an asset.
• APR and/or IAP2 certification is considered an asset.
• Experience in media relations, issues management, crisis communications, government relations, and public engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications plans and engagement for redevelopment projects.
• Lead communications and engagement activities supporting visioning, planning, readiness and organizational change.
• Ensure redevelopment communications align with BCHS strategies, policies, mission and values.
• Prepare executive communications materials, briefing notes, presentations and updates for stakeholders.
• Use feedback and metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Support staff readiness by preparing communications for staff, physicians, volunteers, and patients.
