Job summary

Medicine Hat College seeks a collaborative and innovative Director, Facilities, a full-time role based at the Medicine Hat campus with occasional travel to the Brooks campus. You will oversee strategic and operational management of college properties, lead the Facilities Operations department, and guide the campus master plan for both locations.

The role requires a graduate degree (or bachelor’s with experience) and at least five years in large facilities management, budgets, and policy

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (or bachelor’s with experience) in business, management, engineering, urban planning.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in large facilities management, budgets, policy development and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in educational properties and their impact on college strategy, enterprise risk, and business continuity.
• Experience with property management, campus facilities planning, health & safety programs, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic and operational management of college property assets across Medicine Hat and Brooks campuses.
• Lead the Facilities Operations department and campus security, balancing long-term planning with day-to-day operations.
• Develop and renew the campus master plan for both locations and foster internal and external partnerships.
