The Director, Clinical Operations is a key leadership role in health services delivery area. Working in cooperation and collaboration with various peer leaders within the hospital and across Northern Health (NH), this position is responsible and accountable for leading specific and delegated responsibilities in planning, delivery and evaluation of programs and services with the goal of ensuring that services are grounded in the principles of patient and family-centered care and delivered and implemented using evidence and innovation to meet the needs of our northern and rural populations. The Director serves as a key leader and role model in advancing the Northern Health (NH) rural and northern network of services that includes integrated primary care and community services, long term care and a network of hospitals. The role is responsible for coordinating and aligning resources, services, and departments to support the effective delivery of care. Through this leadership, the Director strengthens regional services and supports Northern Health’s goal of becoming a centre of excellence for healthcare delivery.

The salary range for this position is $118,923 (min) to $148,653 (midpoint) to $170,951 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Northern Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration or a relevant discipline.
• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years experience in progressively senior health care management roles with responsibility for a significant number of staff and financial resources.
• Or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
