What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing new Asset Servicing sales opportunities. You will participate in defining strategies to bring RBC Investor Services (IS) products to market, driving new sales through client acquisition and revenue growth.

What will you do?

  1. Articulate a clear vision for sales growth across your defined territory, focusing on acquiring new clients.
  2. Serve as the point of contact for strategic discussions with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and COOs, focusing on digital transformation, innovation, and operational efficiency. Be comfortable discussing asset servicing capabilities, operational improvements, managed services, outsourcing, and modern technologies like Cloud, APIs, AI, Web Technologies, Security, etc.
  3. Manage all aspects of the sales process, including client identification, engagement, strategy creation, meetings, and sales activities execution.
  4. Partner across RBC to bring OneRBC to market and build a pipeline of large enterprise deals using RBCIS platform capabilities.
  5. Identify market opportunities to expand RBCIS footprint by leveraging people, processes, and technology. Collaborate with product, technology, and strategy teams to develop innovative products and enterprise solutions.
  6. Ensure sales pipeline opportunities are well documented for executive visibility into revenue targets and pipeline.
  7. Take ownership of RFI/RFP and proposal management processes for your opportunity portfolio.
  8. Engage consultants when necessary for complex, long sales cycle deals.
  9. The work environment is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office weekly, with some travel within Canada, including overnight stays.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services and/or asset servicing industry.
  • Strong business development and client acquisition skills.
  • Ability to engage at the executive level across prospect organizations.
  • Solid technical knowledge of Financial Services, Asset Management, and Asset Servicing industries.
  • Experience translating product and technology strategies into actionable programs.
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset; innovative, creative, and self-motivated.
