Job summary

Karis Disability Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for part-time work in Ottawa, helping people with developmental disabilities live in homes and communities.

You will support daily living, promote people’s rights and personal growth, and participate in flexible schedules including Fridays 2–10pm and alternating weekends of 10–6pm and 2–10pm. Wage ranges from CAD 24.20 to 28.31 per hour; applications due Oct 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field.
• Experience working with people who experience developmental disabilities is advantageous.
• Ability to work Fridays and alternating weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities.
• Assist people in daily life, supporting rights to direct their life and personal growth.
• Help people learn skills for their growth and development and support connections to their communities.

Job description

Part-time - 16hrs per week. Every Friday 2-10pm and alternating every second weekend of 10-6pm and 2-10pm. The pay range for this position is $24.20 - $28.31.
