Zusammenfassung

Grey County’s Long-Term Care department is recruiting two (2) permanent part-time Food Service Workers at Lee Manor in Owen Sound, ON. You will support resident meals, assist in kitchen tasks, and ensure safety and sanitation in a fast-paced LTC setting.

Reporting to the Nutrition Manager and under the direction of the Chef/Cook, you will contribute to high-quality dining experiences, adhere to regulatory requirements, and participate in ongoing training and team collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one-year experience in a Food Service role in an institutional setting, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Must have completed a Food Service Worker program approved under the applicable Act or have qualifications as identified by provincial regulations.
• Must maintain up-to-date certification in the Food Safety Awareness Program offered by Public Health.
• Must read, write, and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work with residents of a Long-Term Care home and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely; must be a capable team player.

Aufgaben

• Assists in maintaining the dietary department in a safe and sanitary manner and helps Cook in meal preparation and service.
• Monitors quality of food supplies and reports issues to the Nutrition Manager/Cook.
• Follows proper food handling techniques; dates, labels, and stores food properly; keeps work areas clean and uncluttered; cleans floors and areas as required.
• Assists in preparation, reheating, and serving of meals and beverages according to residents' diets and preferences.
• Assists in portion control, trays setup, and dining table cleanliness.
• Participates in the department's Quality Management program and attends required training sessions.
