Job summary

Southbridge Owen Sound is seeking a part-time Food Service Supervisor to lead the dietary team and ensure safe, nutritious meals aligned with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with residents, families, and staff to maintain high-quality dining experiences.

The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced care home environment.

Qualifications

• Current CSNM or College of Dietitians of Ontario membership required.
• Experience supervising employees in a unionized environment.
• Strong leadership and team-direction abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Customer-focused with relationship-building skills.
• Vulnerable sector check within 6 months.
• TB skin test completed within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and provide high-quality dietary services for residents of each facility.
• Apply continuous quality improvement to workflow, production and dietary requirements to meet legislative requirements.
• Supervise and motivate dietary staff; ensure teamwork and productivity.
• Ensure environment of food preparation and storage areas meets Public Health requirements.
• Maintain records per policies, including regular and therapeutic menus.
• Liaise with residents, families, team members, officials and professionals regarding care needs.
• Participate in budgeting; be accountable for departmental budget and food costs.
