Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead IEC 61850 projects for digital power systems across Canada. You will manage projects, write proposals, and design protection and HMI/SCADA architectures while coordinating testing and commissioning activities.

The role requires a engineering degree with 5+ years in power systems, strong bilingual communication in French and English, and willingness to travel nationally.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering
• Five years of experience in the power systems sector
• Available to travel to BBA's office across Canada
• Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada
• Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients inside and outside Québec
• Knowledge of substation technology
• Knowledge of how to configure protection relays
• Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
• Asset: Knowledge of how to configure HMI/SCADA systems
• Asset: Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
• Asset: Graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
