Job summary

BBA Consultants in Canada seeks an electrical engineer to lead IEC 61850-based projects for digital power systems. You will design protection diagrams, configure HMI/SCADA, and oversee testing and commission at client sites across Canada.

Required is a university degree in engineering with 5+ years in power systems, plus fluency in English and French. A flexible, hybrid role offers opportunities with a leading Canadian engineering firm.

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• University degree in engineering
• Five years of experience or more in the power systems sector
• Available to travel to BBA's office across Canada
• Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada
• Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients inside and outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
• Knowledge of substation technology
• Knowledge of how to configure protection relays
• Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
• Asset: Knowledge of how to configure HMI/SCADA systems
• A sset: Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
• Asset: graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
