The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator for University Relations to support campus-wide digital marketing campaigns, analytics, and reporting.

You will collaborate with client units, create assets, monitor performance, and translate stakeholder needs into measurable digital marketing solutions. This is a 12-month term position with extension potential and exposure to multi-platform campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Google Analytics Certification or Google Ads Certification would be asset.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Canva and CRM/email marketing.

Digital Marketing Coordinator, University Relations

Primary Purpose: The Digital Marketing Coordinator contributes to the implementation, execution, measurement, and reporting of university-wide digital marketing activities. This role helps reconcile stakeholder needs with university level strategic priorities, ensuring that activities are in alignment with the University of Saskatchewan brand, strategic priorities and the Mission, Vision and Values.
Nature of Work: Reporting to the Manager, Digital Strategy, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will support digital marketing projects across the university. The coordinator will work with multiple client units to deliver multi-platform digital advertising campaigns.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:

  • Support the daily operations of the Digital Strategy team through various digital support requests.
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand emerging marketing support needs.
  • Support in strategic planning of digital marketing activities.
  • Implement, monitor, and optimize digital advertising campaigns.
  • Assist with creation of digital marketing creative assets.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders on the performance of their campaigns.
  • Conduct user research and market research on the effectiveness of digital marketing activities and the perception of the USask brand.
  • Monitor and report on university level digital marketing key performance indicators.
  • Respond to requests for website analytics data.
  • Work cross-team and cross-function to help bring the complex marketing needs of the university to market.

Education: An undergraduate university degree in a related discipline. Google Analytics Certification, Google Ads Search Certification or similar search, video or measurement certification would be considered an asset.
Experience: The successful candidate will be trained in the use of digital marketing platforms. Any prior experience in digital marketing, including the use of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Ads would be an asset. Experience with Canva considered an asset.
Skills: Communication and facilitation skills are essential; requires an aptitude for research and understanding and reporting of data and analytics (i.e. data analysis); ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently; proven success in completing high quality work in an accurate and timely manner; proficiency in translating business needs into digital-marketing solutions; organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to think creatively and identify innovative solutions; solid understanding of major digital marketing tools (e.g. Google Ads, Analytics, and Tag Manager); common social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Snapchat, Tiktok and LinkedIn advertising); familiarity with Canva; familiarity with CRM systems and email marketing.Willingness to articulate and take calculated risks in the pursuit of innovation to generate bold and novel modes of communicating and marketing.
