Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada’s Capitale-Nationale, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to maximize value for Agile teams in the I Manage member journey within property and casualty insurance. You will translate business priorities into digital solutions and maintain a clear, ready-for-delivery backlog while aligning work with PI objectives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maximize value delivered by the Agile team for the I Manage member journey in property and casualty insurance.
• Evolve self-service experiences by translating business priorities into concrete digital solutions.
• Maintain a structured, prioritized product backlog and manage dependencies and priorities.
• Serve as the product subject-matter expert for multidisciplinary teams.
• Break down priority features into clear, testable user stories with UX, analysis, and delivery teams.
• Align team work with PI objectives, business value, and stakeholder expectations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to support planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Clarify requirements and facilitate decision-making for delivery teams.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and partner teams to prepare for PI Planning and manage dependencies.
• Ensure functional quality and compliance with acceptance criteria, Definition of Done, and non-functional requirements.

Job description

• Maximize the value delivered by the Agile team for the “I Manage” member journey in property and casualty insurance.
• Evolve the self-service experiences offered to members by translating business priorities into concrete digital solutions.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and prioritization of the product backlog to enable the continuous delivery of digital improvements.
• Serve as the product subject-matter expert for multidisciplinary teams.
• Break down priority features into clear, complete, and testable user stories in collaboration with UX, analysis, and delivery teams.
• Maintain a structured, prioritized, and delivery-ready product backlog by managing dependencies and priorities.
• Align the team’s work with PI objectives, business value, and stakeholder expectations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to support planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Clarify requirements, answer questions from the delivery team, and facilitate decision-making.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and partner teams to prepare for PI Planning, manage dependencies, and contribute to the train’s objectives.
• Ensure the functional quality of delivered solutions and compliance with acceptance criteria, the Definition of Done, and non-functional requirements.
• Serve as the product point of contact for business experts, Operations, Compliance teams, and partners.
• Analyze pain points, observed outcomes, and optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to the evolution of a strategic digital journey designed to simplify the member experience and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, marketing, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience delivering digital products, ideally in the insurance or financial services sector.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, due to interactions with French- and English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of Agile practices and a solid understanding of the SAFe framework.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex environments.
• Self-motivated, with a proven ability to influence and mobilize stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
• Experience in property and casualty insurance, digital self-service, or product backlog management tools is a significant asset.
