Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto invites applications for a Dietetic Attendant - Patient Food Services. This part-time regular role involves patient meal selection, meal assembly, delivery, collection and clean-up, while upholding food safety and customer service standards.

You will work 4- and 8-hour shifts, including days and weekends, at the Finch Site. A high school diploma and Public Health Food Handler's Certificate are required; bilingual English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform meal selection, meal assembly, and meal delivery for patients.

You are able to communicate effectively through speaking, reading and writing. You have knowledge of food safety and sanitation/institution kitchen equipment. You're able to work independently and as a team, you communicate effectively with colleagues, staff and patients, and provide excellent customer service. You are comfortable with operation of computerized and/or electronic devices. This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
