Job summary

Actionmarguerite is hiring a Dietetic Aide to support food service operations in Winnipeg. The role emphasizes preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitation across Food Services, with a commitment to the facility's vision, mission and values.

The position is 0.41 FTE term with a start date around November 29, 2026 or sooner and a closing date of October 13, 2026. Compensation aligns with the CUPE Collective Agreement and may extend through March 31, 2028 with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Dietetic Aide Certificate or willing to take the course.
• Experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals is an asset.
• Experience with operation and cleaning of food preparation equipment and scales; and
• Experience with the operations of cash register for cafeteria functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance of Food Services areas.
• Support the vision, mission and values of Actionmarguerite.
• Assist in meal distribution and service as needed.

Job description

The Dietetic Aide is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance of all areas pertaining to Food Services, and performs other related functions. The Dietetic Aide demonstrates a commitment to the vision, mission and values of Actionmarguerite.

Service: Food Services
Starting Date: November 29, 2026 or sooner
Shift and Hours of Work: 0.41 FTE-part-time-term-currently 06:45-15:00/10:15-18:30/16:10-19:00
Pay Scale: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
Specifications: Term ending March 31, 2028 with 2 weeks' notice and possibility of extension. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements.
Closing Date: October 13, 2026

• Food sanitation and safety;

All staff are hired for the facility.Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
