Job summary

Aramark's Dietary Aide position at The Meadows LTC in Ancaster, Ontario, offers an opportunity to support residents during meals with courteous, safe service.

The role involves meal service, light prep, table setup, tray delivery, and maintaining dining areas, with catering support for events. Requires Food Handler's certificate; experience with seniors preferred; accommodation available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to apply.
• Food Service Worker Certificate or be enrolled in the FSW program is an asset.
• Experience in the food service industry and working with seniors preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for majority of shift.
• Cooking experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests professionally and courteously.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, breakfast, soups and lunch.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and kitchen areas as required.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary employees.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department procedures.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Job description

The Dietary Worker provides patient support during meal services. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Adress : The Meadows LTc , 12 Tranquility avenue, ancaster Ontario L9G 5C2

Timings : Evening 3 hours shift ( 3:45pm to 6:45 pm)

Job Responsibilities

• To establish, extract, evaluate and document the needs of the business with regards to custom application development
• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner;
• To assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, breakfast, soup and lunch preparation etc.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required;
• To assist with cleaning of dishware, cutlery at the conclusion of each seating as required
• To assist with maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen and dining area as required
• To assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events
• To assist in the orientation and training of new dietary employees
• To follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures
• To comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures
• To be aware of the Resident Rights & Responsibilities and endeavor to respect and promote it
• To attend in-service training as required in order to better serve the needs of the residents
• To attend staff meetings as required to be aware of changes in Residence that have taken place

To complete all other tasks as assigned.
