Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker/Dietary Aide to assist in patient meal service and dining room operations. The role involves serving meals, helping with preparation, and maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas in a healthcare setting.

The position requires a Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain) and experience in food service, preferably with seniors. Applicants should be able to lift items, stand for extended periods and provide excellent customer

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate or willing to apply.
• Food Service Worker Certificate or be enrolled in the FSW program is an asset.
• Preference for experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for majority of shift.
• Cooking experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish, extract, evaluate and document business needs for custom application development.
• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, breakfast, soup and lunch items.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and maintenance of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary employees.
• Follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
• Respect Resident Rights & Responsibilities.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Complete all other assigned tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Dietary Worker provides patient support during meal services. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Adress : The Meadows LTc , 12 Tranquility avenue, ancaster Ontario L9G 5C2

Timings : Evening 3 hours shift ( 3:45pm to 6:45 pm)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To establish, extract, evaluate and document the needs of the business with regards to custom application development
• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner;
• To assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, breakfast, soup and lunch preparation etc.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required;
• To assist with cleaning of dishware, cutlery at the conclusion of each seating as required
• To assist with maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen and dining area as required
• To assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events
• To assist in the orientation and training of new dietary employees
• To follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures
• To comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures
• To be aware of the Resident Rights & Responsibilities and endeavor to respect and promote it
• To attend in-service training as required in order to better serve the needs of the residents
• To attend staff meetings as required to be aware of changes in Residence that have taken place
• To complete all other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
