Dietary Aide, Food & Nutrition Services Parkwood Institute - Mental Health

Join our team as a Dietary Aide at Food & Nutrition Services, Parkwood Institute - Mental Health at St. Joseph's Health Care London.

Position Details:

  • Location: Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care - London, ON
  • Type: Part Time
  • Salary Range: $27.66 - $27.86/hour

We provide comprehensive food and nutrition services to patients and residents across all sites. Our goal is to deliver nutritional care that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit, emphasizing local sourcing, seasonal vegetables, composting, and waste reduction. Our shifts vary from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Responsibilities include: assisting with food service operations, adhering to safety and therapeutic diet guidelines, and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Safe Food Handlers certification or completion within six months of hire
  • Knowledge of institutional food service and therapeutic diets
  • Understanding of safe food handling and safety culture in healthcare
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 28 kg
  • Customer service commitment and ability to work independently in a busy environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in French
  • Previous food service experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Vaccination records for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza
  • TB skin test documentation
