Position Details

Location: Parkwood Institute Main - London, ON

Salary Range: $27.66 - $27.86/hour

We are an integrated team providing food and nutrition services to patients and residents. Our vision is to nourish body, mind, and spirit through nutritional care, supporting our community and environment by local purchasing, seasonal on-site vegetable growing, composting, and reducing food waste. Our shifts vary from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Safe Food Handlers certification or completion within six months of hire
  • Knowledge of institutional food service and therapeutic diets
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and safety culture in healthcare per OHSA
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Physical ability to bend, stand, walk, and lift up to 28 kg
  • Strong customer service commitment
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision
  • Teamwork ability
Preferred
  • Proficiency in French
  • Previous food service experience
Additional Information
  • Engagement in teaching and research activities is expected
  • Immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, influenza, and TB testing required
