Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is hiring a Dietary Aide to create a welcoming dining experience for residents. You will take orders tableside, deliver meals with warmth, and ensure meals reflect residents’ preferences.

You’ll set up and clear dining areas, keep spaces clean and safe, and assist with dish and equipment sanitation. The role requires a secondary education or equivalent, a Food Handler Certification (training provided if needed), and experience in server or customer service roles.

Qualifications

• Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified).
• Experience as server or in customer service role.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
