Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Dietary Aide to create welcoming dining experiences for older adults. You will ensure residents and guests enjoy delicious meals served with warmth and attention to detail, reflecting their preferences and personal tastes.

You will take and deliver tableside orders, set up and clear the dining area, and maintain cleanliness for safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary School education or equivalent.
  • Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified).
  • Experience as server or in customer service role.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
  • Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
  • Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
