Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences seeks a friendly Dietary Aide to create welcoming dining experiences for residents. You will ensure meals are served with warmth and attention to detail, collaborating with team members to maintain a clean, safe dining environment.

Responsibilities include taking orders, delivering meals, and setting up the dining room in a manner that reflects Chartwell’s standards. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified).
• Experience as server or in a customer service role.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
