Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Dietary Aide to serve meals in the dining room for residents in a Long Term Care facility. Shifts are mornings 7-2pm and afternoons 3:45-6:45pm, at Ridgeview Long Term Care, 385 Highland Rd W, Stoney Creek, ON.

You will ensure meals meet diet textures, maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety and confidentiality standards. Qualifications include a Food Handler Certificate; English fluency with multilingual ability a plus; ability to stay calm under pressure and be tech-savvy.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Residents in the dining room.
• Maintain friendly, efficient customer service toward Residents, Families and co-workers.
• Record food temperatures and look up diet orders in the software.
• Set tables, handle dishware and clean dining area, including mopping floors.
• Ensure proper diet textures and safety standards are followed.
• Maintain privacy and dignity of residents and follow safety/sanitation standards.
• Comply with ARAMARK standards and policies.

Job Description

The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals in the dining room for the Residents in Long Term Care.

Shifts are mornings 7-2pm and afternoon 345-645pm

Location is Ridgeview Long Term Care 385 Highland Rd W Stoney Creek, ON

Job Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Residents in a professional manner ensuring proper diet texture.
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward Resident, Family members, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Uses software to record food temperatures and to look up diet orders
• Maintains general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed accurately
• Set tables and cleaning of dishware, cutlery, dining tables and work area including mopping floors. Other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager
• Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation. Adheres to ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy at all times. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
