Job summary

Aramark Canada in Ridgeview Long Term Care, Stoney Creek, Ontario is seeking a Dietary Aide to serve meals in the dining room for Residents in Long Term Care. Shifts are mornings 7-2pm and afternoons 3:45-6:45pm.

The role emphasizes professionalism, dietary texture accuracy, and courteous service to Residents, families, and staff, with a focus on safety, sanitation, and confidentiality in line with ARAMARK standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service is an asset.
• Fluent in English; bilingual/multilingual a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfort with using technology including web-based software.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents in a professional manner, ensuring proper diet texture.
• Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service toward residents, families, and co-workers.
• Adapt to customer needs.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Use software to record food temperatures and look up diet orders.
• Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accurate meal orders.
• Set tables and clean dishes, dining areas, and work areas plus mopping floors.
• Ensure privacy, safety, and dignity of customers and comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to ARAMARK standards and report as required; maintain records and compliance with regulations.

The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals in the dining room for the Residents in Long Term Care.

Shifts are mornings 7-2pm and afternoon 345-645pm

Location is Ridgeview Long Term Care 385 Highland Rd W Stoney Creek, ON

Job Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Residents in a professional manner ensuring proper diet texture.
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward Resident, Family members, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Uses software to record food temperatures and to look up diet orders
• Maintains general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed accurately
• Set tables and cleaning of dishware, cutlery, dining tables and work area including mopping floors. Other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager
• Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Maintains compliance with ARAMARK's standards of operation. Adheres to ARAMARK's Business Conduct Policy at all times. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
