Job summary

Halton Healthcare is hiring a part-time food service worker to support patient meal preparation and delivery in Georgetown. The role requires serving and assembling meals, cleaning the kitchen, and operating the dishwasher, with rotating shifts throughout the week.

The position is temporary for approximately six months, with 7.5-hour shifts and up to 0.50 FTE availability. A strong focus on patient-centered care and teamwork is essential for success in this dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Good interpersonal skills required in order to interact with other Hospital staff and patients.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position - physically able to operate, load and unload the dishwasher and push heavy carts when transporting patient food trays to the floors.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Job Description

Working as a member of a customer focused team, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following: servicing and preparing food for patients; transporting and assembling patient meals on patient units; cleaning up of kitchen; disassembling trays;operating the dishwasher and putting away dishes. Other cleaning duties as required.
