Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a patient-focused Food Service Worker to service and prepare meals for patients at Georgetown, under a temporary part-time contract. The role involves rotating 7.5-hour shifts across Mon-Sun and requires strong teamwork and reliability.

Salary ranges from CAD 28.18 to 28.72 per hour, with a 6-month assignment. As part of the hospital’s Food Services team, you will contribute to high-quality patient care through efficient meal delivery, sanitation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
• Physically able to operate, load/unload the dishwasher and push heavy carts.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Job Description

Working as a member of a customer focused team, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following: servicing and preparing food for patients; transporting and assembling patient meals on patient units; cleaning up of kitchen; disassembling trays;operating the dishwasher and putting away dishes. Other cleaning duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position - physically able to operate, load and unload the dishwasher and push heavy carts when transporting patient food trays to the floors
