Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Edmonton is seeking an entry-level Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic III (Helper/Apprentice). The role provides hands-on learning with modern equipment and an opportunity to advance within the company.

You will assist with brakes, minor repairs, and routine maintenance under supervision, gaining experience across multiple systems while developing your skills. This position offers a clear pathway for growth and training.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of practical experience with vehicle or truck repair preferred.
• Must be able to use common hand tools and power tools.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance data entry.
• Must be enrolled in an apprentice program and maintain relevant registrations.

Responsibilities

• Remove, replace or adjust components under supervision: brakes, fifth wheel, minor electrical, cab components and trailer maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance as trained.
• Assist with major repairs and replacements under lead technician or supervisor guidance.
• Perform customer service duties as needed and assist with vehicle pickup/delivery.
