Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking qualified technicians to inspect, service, maintain, and repair diesel generators and pumps. The role includes diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs, and occasional field service calls, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

You will work in a team-based environment and be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging technology while complying with company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related mechanical experience.
• Prior experience working on pumps and/or generators is a definite asset.
• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T or other relevant trade certificate) or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair diesel powered generators and diesel pumps, plus electric submersible pumps of various voltages.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs, test repaired equipment.
• Provide field service calls to customer jobsites as needed, primarily in-shop.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and promote safe work environment.
