Job summary

Northern Health in Prince Rupert, BC, is seeking a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures in the Medical Imaging department in collaboration with radiologists and other clinicians.

The role requires certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS, teaching abilities, patient communication, teamwork, and the physical capacity to operate imaging equipment. Monday to Friday days, with a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS as required for the assigned practice area (generalist, cardiac, vascular).
• Active membership in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists and other health care professionals.
• Demonstrate teaching of students, colleagues, and medical staff as required.
