Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a registered Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes teaching, evidence-based practice, and clear communication with patients and the care team.

The successful candidate will hold ARDMS and/or CARDUP certification, maintain active membership, and apply critical thinking to clinical decisions while supporting a culture of quality care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• ARDMS and/or CARDUP certification required; active membership with ARDMS and/or CSDMS.
• Ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in collaboration with radiologists/physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrates effective communication with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team; applies critical thinking and problem solving in practice.
