Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography and certified with Sonography Canada or ARDMS.
• Demonstrated ability in CPR techniques.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures.
• Perform ultrasound procedures on various sections of the body.
• Assist in procedural rooms, including setting up biopsy trays and monitoring equipment performance.
• Document images and check technical quality.
• Maintain patient and hospital records as required.

Skills

Knowledge of Sonography procedures

Ability to communicate effectively

Aseptic techniques knowledge

Ability to operate medical imaging equipment

Ability to work independently
