Job summary

Northern Health in Prince Rupert, BC, is seeking a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures in the Medical Imaging department in collaboration with radiologists and other clinicians.

The role requires certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS, teaching abilities, patient communication, teamwork, and the physical capacity to operate imaging equipment. Monday to Friday days, with a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
• Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS as required for the assigned practice area (generalist, cardiac, vascular).
• Active membership in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

Position Summary

Are you a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Medical Imaging department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and in accordance with the standards of professional practice and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30

Qualfications

• Graduate of a recognized/accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular). Active membership in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
