Job Details

Position: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Diagnostic Imaging (Signing Bonus Available)

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Type: Temporary Full-Time, approximately 15 months

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $34.24 - $41.36 per hour

Bonus: Up to $5,000 signing bonus; return of service required

Role Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound studies for pediatric, obstetrical, and gynecological patients under Radiologist supervision
• Train and mentor Sonographers, students, and residents
• Maintain accurate patient and exam records, ensure professional patient care

Qualifications

• Registered with Sonography Canada (Ob/Gyn and Abdomen required)
• Registered or eligible with NSCMIRTP
• Maintain registry through ongoing CME credits
• Preferred: Registry in Neurosonography, obstetrics, pediatrics, and neurosonography
• Preceptor experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in French is an asset

Work Schedule

7.5-hour shifts; 75 hours biweekly, including rotational standby and after-hours callback
