Job summary

Dhilmar is seeking a jumbo operator for Eleonore Mine in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. You will advance galleries, drill holes as planned, and load shots. Fly-in, fly-out schedule, 14 days on and 14 days off, at Eleonore Mine.

Ideal candidates hold a Professional Studies Diploma in ore extraction, 1–3 years’ experience, mining modules 1–5 and 7, a valid driver's license, and trainer accreditation for equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in ore extraction.
• One to three years’ experience in a similar position.
• Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7.
• Valid driver's license.
• Be accredited by the trainer on our various service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load blast holes and fire shots.
• Drill the blast holes according to the plans and specifications.
• Clean up his/her workplace and perform basic maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in the deployment of water, air and ventilation utilities.
• Ensure compliance with the health and safety rules regarding the position.
• Perform his/her tasks according to the Company's standards.

About the role

The jumbo operator is part of the mine operations team. He/she ensures the advancement of the galleries.

• Load blast holes and fire shots
• Drill the blast holes according to the plans and specifications
• Clean up his/her workplace and perform basic maintenance of equipment
• Participate in the deployment of water, air and ventilation utilities
• Ensure compliance with the health and safety rules regarding the position
• Perform his/her tasks according to the Company's standards

Training & Experience

• Professional Studies Diploma in ore extraction
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
• Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
• Valid driver's license
• Be accredited by the trainer on our various service equipment.

Working Conditions

• Eleonore mine site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
• Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
