Responsibilities include monitoring obligations, facilitating approvals, and advising on RFPs, financial modeling, and development strategies. The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, and collaboration across public and private partners.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a related discipline (e.g., Business, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Law, Finance). MBA/Planning asset.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience managing real estate development projects and related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Toronto’s development approval process and related policies.
  • Progressive experience in real estate development with project management and development finance.
  • Knowledge of green building standards and development finance considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of development projects, including monitoring obligations and approvals.
  • Support the Director of Development with RFPs for Waterfront Toronto projects.
  • Perform financial modeling and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate across departments to prepare development strategies and obtain master planning approvals.
  • Coordinate with municipal, provincial, and federal bodies to secure approvals and financing.
  • Liaise with various officials on feasibility and financing strategies for waterfront developments.
