Job summary

Lauremont School in Richmond Hill seeks an Associate Director of Development to manage a portfolio of mid-level and emerging major gift donors, guiding cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to grow philanthropy.

Reporting to the Director of Development, you will collaborate with the Head of School, volunteers and the Community Development team to plan Annual Fund activities and strengthen donor engagement across the Lauremont community.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive fundraising or development experience.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of donors and prospects.
  • Experience supporting or managing an Annual Fund or annual giving program.
  • CAIS/independent school experience is an asset.
  • A satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check and Child Welfare check.
  • Current First Aid CPR, and AED.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal portfolio of mid-level, leadership and emerging major gift donors and prospects.
  • Develop individualized strategies to advance prospects through the fundraising cycle.
  • Support planning and execution of the Annual Fund with donor communications, outreach and stewardship.
  • Track portfolio activity and prepare regular reports on donor activity, solicitations, revenue and progress against goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and broader Community Development team to create a coordinated donor experience.
  • Represent Lauremont professionally at school and community events.
