Job summary

Municipal World Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technologist to provide engineering services in support of development applications.

Reporting to the Development Engineering Coordinator, the role includes reviewing development applications, coordinating with the Township’s Engineering Consultant, and assisting in subdivision and site plan agreements. The successful candidate will perform site inspections, prepare reports and by-laws, manage security reductions, and address inquiries from

Qualifications

Three-year college diploma with CET designation or working toward.
Minimum of one year diversified municipal experience in subdivision/site plan administration and OBC design.
Experience in residential subdivision development, engineering design, inspection, and contract administration.
Knowledge of financial matters related to development and performance security management.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Review and comment on development applications.
Coordinate comments with Engineering Consultant and resolve design issues.
Assist in subdivision/site plan agreements and monitor developments.
Monitor project management matters and provide creative solutions.
Process security reduction requests and prepare recommendations.
Prepare Council reports and By-laws related to subdivisions.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with standards and approved plans.
Review and approve Site Alteration Applications and update the Site Alteration By-law.
Address inquiries from residents, applicants, consultants, and outside agencies.
