The City of West Kelowna invites applications for a Senior Development Engineering Technologist to provide technical reviews of land use applications, manage servicing agreements, and supervise municipal infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, ASTTBC/AScT eligibility, and at least 7 years of subdivision/building experience, BC Building Code familiarity, a valid Class 5 license, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Formación

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and eligibility for ASTTBC/AScT.
• 7 years of subdivision design, BC Building Code, and municipal engineering experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, GIS and Development Services software.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical reviews of complex land use applications including subdivisions and building permits.
• Evaluate engineering reports, studies, and drawings for compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate approvals with internal departments and external agencies; prepare servicing agreements.
• Supervise municipal infrastructure construction and mentor staff; respond to inquiries from developers.
