Job summary

The Belfry Theatre in Victoria, BC is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our not-for-profit arts team. Reporting to the Director of Development, this full-time onsite role handles fundraising events and donor stewardship in a small two-person department.

Some evenings and weekends are required, with time off in lieu, as we support a vibrant SPARK Festival and programming. We value CRM experience, fundraising know-how, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Fundraising experience is preferred.
• CRM software familiarity is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience working for a professional arts organization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate donor and fundraising events, including logistics and guest lists.
• Build relationships with sponsors and donors through outreach.
• Assist with donor stewardship, tracking benefits and correspondence.
• Create donor/sponsor recognition materials and campaign lists.
• Generate tax receipts and thank-you letters using Excel and Spektrix.
• Assist with foundation grant applications and reports.
• Update website and create social media content for development.
• Coordinate and minute fundraising committee meetings.
