St. Louis Public Library is seeking a Development Coordinator to work with the Library’s Foundation managing communications and events. Our ideal candidate is someone who is well-versed in brand reputation, is a strong writer, and able to juggle multiple projects at once.
The Development Coordinator creates and manages the Foundation’s communication materials, collaborates with other departments and is a strong communicator able to build relationships with colleagues, donors, and vendors. They will be an adaptable problem-solver with strong interpersonal and time-management skills committed to providing excellent customer service and serving a diverse community.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for the generation and coordination of Foundation communications, organization of Foundation events, and supporting the Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
In this role you will:
- Develop and manage content for various channels, including websites, social media, e-newsletters, and direct mail campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategies to secure sponsorship support of key Library programs and events.
- Coordinate all fundraising events, including committees, logistics, and sponsorship.
- Develop and implement strategies for online giving.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage production of monthly e-newsletter and annual impact report.
- Coordinate planned giving communications.
- Manage all paid and in-kind advertising.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage all Library Foundation print projects.
- Monitor and report on Library Foundation marketing efforts using various analytic and/or survey tools.
- Act as the Foundation’s liaison with the Library’s marketing department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

You will need to have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in writing, editing, and managing various types of content across multiple platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, donors and vendors.
- Experience with computer software; Etapestry or other Blackbaud products, One Cause, Google Suite, MailChimp and Microsoft Office.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, or journalism and three years of experience with a non-profit organization or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM / Occasional evenings and weekends
