Job summary

Furever Pawradise Inc. is a Toronto-based nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and empowering the furry community. We are seeking a Development and Partnership Department Manager to lead fundraising, finance, and sponsor relations, translating high-level strategy into impactful campaigns and durable partnerships.

The role focuses on building and leading the team, executing fundraising initiatives, and ensuring strong financial controls to maximize community impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management with multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Proven ability to run fundraising campaigns or manage sponsorship accounts.
  • Experience leading volunteers or staff.
  • Strong budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the annual operational plan and budget for all fundraising, finance, and sponsorship activities.
  • Recruit, train, and directly manage the Supervisors and teams responsible for charity events, sponsor fulfillment, and financial tracking.
  • Oversee the execution of all fundraising initiatives, such as the charity auction, ensuring transparency and effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for sponsors, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and relationships are maintained.
  • Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting within the department, working closely with the Treasurer.

Development and Partnership Department Manager

The Development and Partnership Manager leads the operational execution of Furever Pawradise's financial and philanthropic goals. This role manages the day-to-day activities of the Finance, Fundraising, and Sponsor Relations teams, translating high-level strategy into successful campaigns and strong partnerships. They are responsible for building and leading the team that secures the resources necessary for the event's success and community impact.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the annual operational plan and budget for all fundraising, finance, and sponsorship activities.
  • Recruit, train, and directly manage the Supervisors and teams responsible for charity events, sponsor fulfillment, and financial tracking.
  • Oversee the execution of all fundraising initiatives, such as the charity auction, ensuring transparency and effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for sponsors, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and relationships are maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Project Management: Strong experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and budgets.
  • Fundraising/Sales: Proven ability to execute fundraising campaigns or manage sales/sponsorship accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring volunteer or paid staff.
  • Financial Literacy: Comfortable with budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting.
Beneficial Skills
  • Experience with event-based fundraising.
  • Familiarity with corporate sponsorship packages and activation.
