Job summary

HealthCareCAN seeks a Manager – Mental Health and Addictions at the Northern Addictions Centre in Grande Prairie. You will lead operations, support the redesign of bed-based addiction services, and advance recovery-oriented, patient-centered care across Alberta.

Reporting to the Director, you will oversee NAC programs and staff, including the detoxification unit and bed-based addiction treatment program, while driving continuous improvement and collaborating with provincial partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health services discipline.
• Minimum three years of recent Mental Health and Addiction clinical, supervisory, and/or leadership experience.
• Proven leadership in recovery-oriented care, interdisciplinary team management, stakeholder engagement, change leadership, and the delivery of high-quality, person- and family-centered services.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Preference for a Master’s degree and registration with a professional regulatory body.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership for NAC programs and staff with a focus on recovery-oriented care.
• Oversee the detoxification unit and bed-based addiction treatment services.
• Recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and staff development.
• Budget management, expenditures approvals, and coordination with finance and HR partners.
• Collaborate with provincial leaders and community partners to align services.
