Job summary

BC Public Service is seeking a Manager, Destination & Industry Development to lead destination and industry development initiatives. The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and cross‑sector collaboration with government, communities, Indigenous groups, and industry partners across British Columbia.

You will oversee program delivery, manage contracts and resources, and represent the organization at meetings and public events to advance Destination BC platforms and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a tourism-related field required.
• Diploma or certificate in business or tourism-related field with experience also acceptable.
• Minimum years of strategic planning and program management experience.
• Ability to travel within British Columbia as required.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program plans aligned with corporate strategy.
• Lead destination and industry development planning processes and budgets.
• Build and maintain relationships with government, communities, Indigenous groups, tourism partners, and industry.
• Coordinate program delivery with internal departments and partners to ensure alignment.
• Represent Destination BC at meetings, conferences, and events and support communications.
