Job summary

BBA Consultants in Canada seeks a Mechanical and Piping Designer to join our Montreal or Mont-Saint-Hilaire offices. You will design 3D models, select equipment, and contribute to mining, hydropower, and heavy industry projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

The role requires a college diploma in mechanical engineering technology, 6–10 years of experience, proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD tools, and fluency in French and English for collaboration.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical engineering technology.
• Six to ten years of experience.
• Experience with 3D design.
• Available to travel occasionally between the Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montréal offices.
• Advanced French and English to collaborate with Québec and other offices.
• Experience in heavy industry (mining, petrochemicals, energy) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Produce GA, detail, and installation drawings for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to meet schedules and deliverables.

As a designer, you’ll help deliver engineering projects,select technology and implement projects in the mining, hydropower and heavyindustry sectors. You’ll work at our Montréal or Mont-Saint-Hilaire office.You’ll also play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuringexceptional technical quality of deliverables.

• Work with point clouds (3D laser scanning data) to develop solutions tailored to existing site conditions.
