Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a skilled piping designer to join our team in the Greater Montréal area. You will deliver engineering projects in mining, hydropower and heavy industry, developing 3D models, isometrics and related deliverables while ensuring technical quality.

You will work across piping sectors, coordinate scheduling and budgeting, and collaborate with international offices. Strong CAD software proficiency and bilingual capability are highly valued in our dynamic, flexible work

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or another relevant field.
• At least two years of experience relevant to the position.
• Experience in the mining and metals or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks and Navisworks software.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, databases and interfaces.
• Advanced English skills to collaborate with other BBA offices and clients; French skills needed in Québec.
• Asset: good knowledge of SmartPlant.

As a designer, you’ll help deliver engineering projects, select technology and implement projects in the mining, hydropower and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be based at one of our offices in the Greater Montréal area. You’ll also play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality of deliverables.

• Excellent knowledge of current computer applications such as the MS Office Suite, databases and interfaces
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Asset: good knowledge of SmartPlant
