Summary :

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the incumbent will provide support to senior designers in ongoing projects.

Responsibilities :

• All aspects of Mechanical Design
• Translate and organize CAD data
• Read and decipher GD&T prints
• Prepare and interpret technical drawings, calculations, customer standards, and specifications
• 3D modelling & conceptual design to create multiple iterations of design prototypes using CAD
• Create mechanical designs on small to medium-sized tooling
• Generate and organize all necessary raw materials and purchase item BOMs
• Detailing and surfacing on medium to large-sized tools
• Adhere to all company and ISO standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent certificate (GED) is required
• Post-secondary education or certification in a related field is preferred
• 2-5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset
• Sound skills in CAD
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills
