Job summary

Caivan Development Corporation is seeking a reliable Design Consultant for its in-person Design Studio. You will guide customers through design options, manage appointments, and ensure a premium experience from first contact through home selection.

The role emphasizes client-facing interaction within a fast-paced environment and requires strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills. Regular weekend work is part of the schedule; travel for training is included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working directly with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and support informed decisions
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Post-secondary education in Design, Business Administration or a related field is considered an asset
• Ability to travel and stay in Ottawa for up to 3 months for training with travel accommodations provided during training

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the Design Studio, including market research, design, sales, administrative functions, customer service, etc.
• Ensure the Design Studio is integrated with other departments to operate efficiently and meet customer expectations
• Host Design Studio open houses and walk customers through options
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience from first contact to home delivery
• Schedule and manage appointments with customers with support from the Coordinator
• Maintain labeling and organization of samples in the Design Studio
• Provide general administrative support in the Design Studio
• Drive and manage customer service as per Caivan’s Touchpoint map
• Achieve sales targets and projections
• Complete Design Studio amendments and interior colour/design selections with customers
